I'm getting the following php warning with virtually every action or visitor made on the forum pages of my client's site.

PHP Warning: preg_match(): Compilation failed: quantifier does not follow a repeatable item at offset 1 in /kunder/serveb_1967/photoe_283/public/wp-content/plugins/wpforo/wpf-includes/functions.php on line 2281

The only change I have made was upgrading the latest versions of woocommerce and wordpress. I'm currently still running version 1.9.9.2 at the moment. I've disabled all other plugins so it can't be conflict with another plugin.

Two questions:

1.) Any advice or tips on where I can start looking for the source of this issue?

2.) Is this kind of error a serious one?

URL so we can check more?

Any caching anywhere?

What are your permalinks WP settings?  Most of the times it comes from rewrite rules. Anything changed in htaccess?
