I just changed my WP theme and added wpForo to it, but the avatars are still pointing to the staged url. I emptied the caches but it didn't fix it

@subpopet,
If wpForo avatars are still pointing to the staged site URL after you changed the theme and cleared the cache, it might be due to cached avatar paths or incorrect avatar file paths saved in the database or cache. Here are steps to fix this:

  • Clear all caches thoroughly, including any caching plugins and server-side caches.
  • Check if any caching or optimization plugins (like SiteGround Optimizer) are active and exclude your forum URLs from caching as per wpForo recommendations.
  • Verify that the "Site-wide Usage of Forum Profile Avatar" option is enabled in Dashboard > wpForo > Settings > Member Profile to synchronize avatars properly.
  • Look for any plugins that might synchronize avatars between WordPress and other platforms and disable them if they cause conflicts.
  • If avatars are still broken or pointing to wrong URLs, try re-uploading avatars or resetting avatar settings.

If the problem persists, you may need to check the database for hardcoded URLs or contact support for more detailed troubleshooting.

Now I see it's not only the avatars... It's the member pages, even the posts. Should I replace it in the database or is there an easier solution?

@subpopet

Here, clearing the forum cache solves the problem, and it should do the same in your situation.
