I did, works fine, only the "change date" remains the same. But that is not a problem.

I hope that all of the fields will be editable at some point. I have the need to change author and date of forum posts occasionally.

I was successfully able to do this today with the Adminer plugin, but I advise great caution in fiddling with your database.
