Hi, I'm in the general settings of WPforo, using the latest version. I'm attempting to change the user's profile link from /participant/USER-NAME to /profile/USER-NAME and when in the general settings of the site, I am changing the slug for /member/participant to /member/profile and upon saving changes, it returns the page with the original /participant slug.

I've tried changing it in the database and no affect.

Ultimately, I'm wanting the uses in the form to get my site's profile page instead of the forums. These steps so far have produced no result.

My next question is, if there is a way to ADD a second link on the member's profile template so when the user is referenced in the forum, ie" the members list, their profile, and their post topic, can I add a 2nd link to display their site profile in addition to their forum profile

Thank you in advance.

Anyone? Am I in the right place for this? Or do I need to submit a ticket somewhere?

@sofy from the other thread of you asking "which post"... I'm sorry to sound like this, but I'd like you'd look at the forums for the only post I have listed seeking help. Can you please address this topic from 4 days ago? I'd greatly appreciate it

@dperry

I've already asked the developers about these questions and will update this topic once I receive their response

@sofy Thank you. I also tried changing it directly in the database and my entry was ignored. I'm guessing there's something in the code perhaps. I look forward to your reply and thank you for getting back to me.

Considering that you say that you don't change the slug it should not be much of an issue if you set query_pk_and_slug as above. Share.

If you want to use Ultimate Member or BuddyPress profile pages, simply select the 'Profile Page' option.

Choose the appropriate setting for profile pages. In this case, you cannot change the URL and should use the option mentioned above.

If you're using a different plugin for profile pages, let us know.

For more information on the 'Profile Page' option, visit: https://wpforo.com/docs/wpforo-v2/settings/member-profile/#profile-page
