I have the "Enable User Registration email confirmation" setting set to "No", but each new user still can't login without first clicking a link in a verification email. Does anyone know why this would be occurring?

After a little more investigation, I discovered that this is due to using reCAPTCHA in WordFence's Login Security. It's designed to use the WordPress default login flow, which WPForo apparently doesn't use. Has anyone encountered this or know a way around this other than to disable reCAPTCHA in WordFence?

@dimalifragis nope.

When you register, Wordpress send an email to the subscriber to click / activate and set a password.

So, YES.

@dimalifragis registration is turned off, so users are only being added manually.

Ok, this is different from what you originally asked.

Your question is not related with wpForo.

If you have disabled registration in wpForo and want to create users manually, you need to do this within the WordPress Dashboard. The manual user creation process is handled by WordPress itself, and wpForo does not perform any specific processes when users are added manually. You can use the standard user creation functionality provided by WordPress for this purpose.

@blackraz the issue is occurring at the time of login. If reCAPTCHA is enabled in WordFence, email verification is required because the returned score is 0 during the WP Foro login process. From what I understand, the default WordPress login scores the login process properly, but something about the WP Foro login process is different and that's why the score is 0 and requires email verification.

So you can try to disable the Wordfence reCAPTCHA and use the build in wpForo reCAPTCHA instead of.

@blackraz yes, that works; however, then I don't have reCAPTCHA enabled for my main WP login.

You can enable the wpForo build in reCaptcha for the main WP login form too.
