why is the emoji tabs category missing

There are only a little number of emoji.

Hi @marcopete,

This is a custom emoji button in TiniMCE WordPress editor. This is not a device (mobile, tab, etc...) editor. Loading all emoji in a web page affects page speed, thus the SEO rank as well.
