Hello firends

I added a category named "support" its a "Q&A" Forum, Guests have permission "just read"

Inside this are two forums, one for registered users and one for guest, the guestforum have permission "standard"

I played around with it and asked a question as guest in the guest support forum, that was working, but in the overview i just see 0 Topics, if i open the guest support forum there is written, no topics found.

Than i logged in and saw the question from my fake guest and answered.

Going back to the incognito Browser and refrehs, now i saw there is 1 topic and 1 answer, but if i go into the guest forum i still see "there is no topic found"

How can i fix this?

Hi @orakel,

Probably you missed some CANs.

I added a category named "support" its a "Q&A" Forum, Guests have permission "just read"

Inside this are two forums, one for registered users and one for guest, the guestforum have permission "standard"

Please edit the above mentioned two access and make sure the following CAN is enabled, save, delete all caches, and check again.

.Can view topic

Also please read the following article https://gvectors.com/how-to-enable-guest-posting-on-wpforo-wordpress-forum-plugin/

You can also check the following FAQ topic, to better understand wpForo Usergroups, Forum Accesses and WordPress User Roles:

Thank you Alvina

In your link is written:

In all forums where you want guests to be able create topics and post replies the Guest Usergroup should be attached to Read Only forum access.

This sounds not logical but ok =)

So if i change the permissions in Forum settings so guest CAN do open Topics and answer.

How i prevent them to do that in the other forums?

@orakel,

Please read the doc more attentively. In the doc provided above there is the following part:

In case you don’t want to enable guest posting on all forums, we recommend don’t edit the Read Only accesses and create new forum access for those guests.

The example provided in the doc, please check it: https://gvectors.com/how-to-enable-guest-posting-on-wpforo-wordpress-forum-plugin/
