I a looking for a way to temporarily suspend members from my forum. Is it possible to do this for a limited time without having to remember to reinstate?

Hi @natcorn,
You can disable the "Can view forum" option, for the usergroup you want, and all users who are in the certain usergroup will not be able to view that forum.
The option is located in the Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Forum Accesses > admin page, edit the access you need, and uncheck the "Can view forum" option.
