In my community, many people start new topics in existing discussions, I would like to know if you can divide a conversation in two, that is, a new post (inside another) split it and put it in a new one

I hope you have explained me well.

You should use topic tools to move, merge and split topics:

Open the tool and use the Split Topic tab:
