I have tried posting an image url and it displays the image inside this editor, however when I add the topic it just shows a red x in the post.

Please note, wpForo only supports image URLs which end with image formats like .jpg .png .gif . wpForo doesn't support URLs with variables or non image files.
it is a .jpg.. here is the image that shows the red x on my forum
which shows in my editor.. but a red x once posted.. and it works fine on here.
nevermind it's something else on my site that's changing the image url from http to https.. so not wpforo's fault.
