Currently I am running a website that is only hosting a Simple Machines Forum. I want to migrate this to a Wordpress site with a forum attached to it.
One of the main downsides of the SMF (and a highly requested feature to add!) is the lack of user friendliness in adding pictures to a post! The users have to add a picture as attachment and then other users can click on it to open it.
In the best case a user knows how to upload a picture to some image website, get the URL from that and add the URL to the post. That way embedding the picture in the post.
It would be really nice to have forum in which I can directly upload pictures, so they get inserted in the forum post. Or even better: drag and drop a picture from another app (in Android/iOS) or from Windows Explorer (in Windows) directly to the post.
Yesterday, I did a search here on the forum and found posts of about round 2016. I cannot imagine this has not been added in almost 10 years of requesting it.
What are my options here?
