Hello,

I’m facing an issue with the "Ask a Question" button on my forum, which is powered by wpForo. When a user clicks the button to open the question editor, the button's text changes to an "X" for closing, but there is another button (submit button) that appears below it with the text "Ask a Question."

I would like to change the text of this submit button to "Submit Question" after the user clicks the initial "Ask a Question" button.

I have tried various JavaScript methods to change the button text dynamically, but none of them seem to work as expected due to the way the elements are loaded or updated dynamically within wpForo.

Can you please guide me on how to properly change the text of this submit button after clicking the "Ask a Question" button?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Best regards,
Iris

Hi,

I'm sorry, but there isn’t a simple solution we can provide here. This requires significant changes to the plugin's code.

Hi Sofy,

Thank you very much for your prompt and clear response. I truly appreciate the quick attention and the detailed explanation you provided.

Although I understand that there isn’t a simple solution available and that this would require significant changes to the plugin’s code, I value your transparency and the effort you put into reviewing my request.

In the meantime, we managed to implement a partial workaround using custom code that changes the button label. While the solution isn’t perfect, it does serve as a helpful interim fix until a more comprehensive solution becomes available.

Please keep me updated in case this feature is ever considered for future development.

Thanks again for your support and professionalism.

Best regards,

Iris
