I haven't put the site on the hosting company's ...gonna use Bluehost? yet...is that causing the issues?
My site is lovewoes.com....
thanks,
Jeff
Hi @jeffgruhler. Thanks for the URL. I see that your site is now online. I took a screenshot (attaching it below) , and I see the double Math recaptcha.
You can also call bluehost (if you are in the U.S.) or use the bluehost chat functionality on their website too. Just tell them about my advice above
https://wpforo.com/community/how-to-and-troubleshooting-2/just-lost/#post-39434
And Bluehost can also do that for your quickly. 🙂
I'll keep online here for a bit, and so let me know what other issues you might be having. 🙂
Thanks,
Are these issues happening because I don't have Bluehost hosting it right now?
I was trying to just get it the way I wanted then call them....?
By the way, I did what you guys suggested...I removed any other recaptcha plug in...only have askimet...should this be gone too?
I did follow it...even uninstalled the wpforo, then reinstalled...now all I get is a 404 login code
Hi @jeffgruhler,
Your URL link here on your website's Top Menu currently goes to
https://lovewoes.com/community/dramazone/
And since you do not have a "Forum Name" that's called "Dramazone", that's why it is going to a 404 page when you click it.
TO FIX IT, I suggest that you
1) Go to Wordpress Dashboard
2) Select Appearance
3) Then select Menu
4) Click the Edit Menus tab
5) Select a menu type to edit (select your Website's "Primary" Menu
6) Then look for the Menu to edit
7) Your Menu title of "Love Forum" should not have the
https://lovewoes.com/community/dramazone/
On the URL field, just Change it to
https://lovewoes.com/community/
8) Then click the "Save Menu" button at the bottom of the page.
9) View your site on the Frontend, press Control F5 twice to view your latest revision.
I'm attaching the screenshot of what I see and what I think is causing the 404 page, that's where I base my suggestions from. 🙂
I'll keep logged in here and let me know if you've done my suggestions, or if you have other questions. I'll try to answer them if I can. 🙂
By the way, I did what you guys suggested...I removed any other recaptcha plug in...only have askimet...should this be gone too?
Akismet is a antispam plugin. I keep that on my installation. So far it has not conflicted with wpForo, so I suggest you keep the Akismet plugin. 🙂
