Menu link in the forum work fine, but links to boards and messages all have "http://" hard coded, should be changed to just "//" to adopt sites protocol or use WP's root url value.

wpForo doesn't have any hard coded URLs. If you just changed your website protocol you should navigate to Dashboard > Forums > Dashboard admin page and click on [Delete all caches] button. Then delete other plugin caches, press Ctrl+f5 on forum front and test it again.
