This logout redirect is really important/critical. (Or else please make the logout function work better.)
Right now, when someone logs out of our forum, they don't actually appear logged out. The page that they go to is merely the Main forum Home page. The topics are fully accessible. Thus, they aren't truly being logged out.
Hi @greggrz,
wpForo doesn't have any issue with logout. You can logout here and check it.
I think you have a cache plugin which is not excluded for forum. wpForo comes with built in cache system, it does correct cache for forum, other cache plugins cannot do correct cache because wpForo is not based on custom post types. Please go to your cache plugin settings and find and option to exclude the main forum page from caching. Some cache plugins have an option to disable cache for certain page directly on page edit screen.
Hi, Robert,
I checked to make sure; I don't have any cache plugins. The only cache tool I can see is the one that is a part of WordPress. (It doesn't appear to have any settings where I can make individual page exclusions.)
You may not have a problem with logout here, but I still do. If I click the link from our web site to go to the forum and then login, I'm taken to the Main forum page. I can click around and whatever. Everything works fine. If I then logout, it takes me back to the Main forum page, where I can still click around and do whatever. However, if I close the window or tab after logging out, and then click the link to go back to the forum from the web site, I am logged out and need to login again. (If I don't logout and just close the tab, going back to the forum via the link on the web site shows me to be still logged in.) Thu, logging out sort of works, but sort of doesn't.
If there's something else I need to do, I'd love the help. (The ability to add a redirect to logout would definitely address the issue I'm having.)
Thanks.
Wordpress doesn't have ANY cache tools or whatever.
Well, it appears to be a part of WordPress. I use Bluehost as our provider, so maybe it's something they have layered in. I definitely haven't uploaded any cache plugins. Attached a screenshot of what I see. Absolutely no cache plugins mentioned under Plugins.
(Anonymous20, are you trying to be helpful, or just snarky? I'm not looking to argue with anyone here, and am not pretending to be super smart on all this... just looking for some help getting things to work.)
