Hi,

Is there any possibility to approve and filter new members by admin during registration process?

Hi mario99

User registration is being processed through default WordPress registration system. If you already have a registration approval function in WP then it'll work for wpForo. If you don't have such function please search for Registration activation plugins, they should work for wpForo too. These are two good examples:

  1. https://wordpress.org/plugins/new-user-approve/
  2. https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-approve-user/

I used  https://wordpress.org/plugins/new-user-approve/ as a solution, but receive the following error when the button to create the account is clicked.

This page isn’t working

~domain~ is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500

I assume this is due to the 3rd party's plugin, not fully enabling the user until approved by the admin.

It would be great for your team to develop your own user approval process. That way you could control the conditions, screens, etc. during approval.

Great software, thank you.

Thank you philfm

This is already in our to do list. However as an alternative you can use "Enable User Registration email confirmation" option in Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Features admin page.

Yes I took a look at that. We're passing for now because of how that process exposes the WP back end. Thank you though for the suggestion.
