I have WP user Avatar to set on default avatar, configured in picture.

Please deactivate the plugin and check again.
Also please delete all caches and press CTRL+F5(twice) on the frontend and check again.
That plugin fails frequently to fetch the Jetpack URL.
This is a simpler more effective plugin for the purpose (it can be set to load the default avatar from your server). https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-user-avatar/
