wpForo 1.x.x [Closed] No email confirmation receipt when testing

I am testing my new forum and the email confirmation is not coming through to the email (another email of mine I am using to test) to confirm for the double opt-in. 

I am receiving the confirmation that someone (test member) has registered and the test member is in the members list, but the email confirmation to set the password is not coming through to the test email.

I have checked the spam and it is not there, either.

From this, someone joining my forum, would not be able to because they do receive the confirmation email to set up their password. I am unable to move on in the testing stage or set the forum live, until I understand how to rectify this.

Hi @sylviasphereo,

Please make sure the WordPress user registration is not disabled. Also make sure the wp-login is not locked.

Thank you for this @martin. Could you tell me where I would be able to find these 2. I am at a loss in terms of what I'm looking for, despite understanding most of your documentation.

Call your website wp-login.php file like this:

yourwebsite.com/wp-login.php?action=register

And try to register a real account with a real email using the native WordPress registration form.

How is this WP+forum installed and tested?

Locally ? In a hosting plan ?

It is not very clear what the problem is, keep in mind that all email is handled by Wordpress and not wpForo.

There are several ways to debug this, search the forums here, there are a lot of topics about it.
