Hi, I'm sorry if I'm not in the right category, but I just started my own Wordpress website and WPforo, and I'm completely lost.

I received the following message on my forum settings :

wpForo PageID doesn't exist. Forums will not be loaded, please read this suppor topic

I clicked on the link, and followed every step required on this page, and then received the following message on SQL Executioner :

Error : Duplicate entry 'wpforo_pageid' for key 'option_name'

Still, the forum can be accessed by members, posts and topics can be read and reply to, so I'm kinda confused... Plus, I don't know a thing about SQL base, and very afraid to mess with it.

Can you help me discover what is wrong with my forum ?

BTW, thanks for your support which help me getting familiar with WPforo, this is amazing 🙂

Normally there should not be such problem, it seems you've tried to change wpForo page.

  1. I'd recommend to do a complete uninstall if you don't have topics and posts. Navigate in Dashboard > Plugins and click on Uninstall link of wpForo plugin, it'll remove all forum data and settings.
  2. Then navigate to Dashboard > Pages and find the pages you've used for wpForo, delete them all, even in Trashed section.
  3. Then search and install wpForo again.

I hope you don't have important data in forum yet, so you can remove it and install it again. If you do I'll need admin access to try help you, just let me know...

It's not really "important" data, it's really more sentimental...

It's a private forum for members of a RPG company, and the topics created and the replies made kinda mean a lot to me. If there's no other way, I'll do as you say, but if there's a tiny chance you can help me without deleting the entire forum, I'd be very grateful !

As I said, the forum seems to be working just fine right now, but I can't be sure there's no hidden monster lurking in the code...

Thanks for your quick answer, BTW, and thank you for your help, I hope it doesn't bother you, and since it's not "valuable" datas, I'd totally understand if you had more urgent matter to deal with.

If you do decide to try and save my forum, how can I send you admin rights ?

Thanks again

Robert

Thanks a lot !

Should I put the site and forum on hold while you're investigating, or can we still use it anyway ?

If I must put it down, I have absolutely no idea on how to do such things... Sorry !

Really, thanks a lot, I'm sending details right away !
