I don't think the HTML/JS optimization of Autoptimize will solve the issue you're mentioning. wpForo comes with own cache system and it's ready for big traffic. Moreover there are dozens of other website booster plugins and caching plugins. You can use any of them, but don't enable JS file optimization / minification functions.
