Is it possible to prevent access to dashboard for certain usergroups?

I want only admins and may be super moderators to have access to the backend.

Not yet, we're still working on this.

Any news on that? Is that possible now?

I just found out that Advanced Access Manager does the trick. You can block access to the dash board with this plugin.

Yes, this should be done by other plugins. wpForo is a front-end community plugin, it's not designed to control dashboard access. There are many plugins built especially for this purpose.
