Gust must have Read Only access, not Standard access. And the Read Only Access should have the permissions mentioned above.I think you've not edited all forums one by one and changed Guest <> Read Only access settings. Also You should delete all caches in Dashboard > Forums > Dashboard admin page:

If you still have the same problem, please send admin login details to support[at]gvectors.com email address, we'll check if you did all I've explained here.

Ok Robert, I reset the forums guest to read only. It seems to work now. Big thanks.

Just a question though. What is the point of having all the options if you can not change them?

I would like the threshold of using the forum as low as possible. So basically need to register or to login. Maybe provide an email address.

Is that possible?

Sorry, I seem to be typing to fast forgetting words.

I am rephrasing. Is there a way for people to contribute to the forum without having to login or register?

Cheers for your help.

I have been reading the guest post issue: https://wpforo.com/community/how-to-and-troubleshooting-2/guest-posting/paged/2/

I guess this hasn't been addressed yet?

Keeps us updated when this becomes available.

Cheers,

Robert

Forum Access and Permissions works fine for all user groups and even for guests. Only "Can create topic" and "can reply" are not activated only for guests yet. They'll be activated once guest posting is ready in wpForo core.

Hello,

i just installed the last version (1.4.3) but guest still can't reply to a topic even if the forum is (seems) well configured.

Is it still normal ?

Thank you.

Benoit
