[Solved] right hand column doesn't pick up recent activity

hi, the right hand column doesn't pick up recent activity, viz Recent Posts Recent Comments No comments to show. Archives No archives to show. Categories No categories but the top bar (forum/members/recent posts/..) selector shows recent posts fine; caching plugin is off; any thoughts? thanks

You should use wpForo widgets instead of WordPress Blog widgets. Please see the documentation here: https://wpforo.com/docs/wpforo-v2/getting-started/forum-sidebar-and-widgets/wpforo-widgets/
