I would like to further clarify your comment. When you say: 'We don't think that the issue is caused by the higher version of PHP". Does that mean you've either tested it or seen it running on the latest release of PHP? Don't misinterpret my comment as being critical. I, and others, go through this often, where we get into a situation where each party says it's the other party's problem. It would be good if others could comment on whether their PHP hosting environment is causing similar issues or not. This could save us time in trying to understand if it really is an issue or not with running on the current release of PHP on SiteGround. Again, always appreciate your great support. You've been a big help to a lot of us!
FYI... I upgraded to PHP 7.3.24 on SiteGround and the problem went away. I also tried going one step further to release 7.4.12. Unfortunately, this caused other issues with my site not even starting. For now, I'm gong to stay on 7.3.24, since it looks like the issue doesn't occur here. My sense is that there's still issues with PHP compatibility between the plugin and the host.
