Hi,
I would like to have a forum with a simplified layout. This forum will be about frogs (example). I then would like two sub forums one will be for general discussion (simplified) and the other subforum will be specifically for answering questions about frogs (QA).
Is this possible? If so, how do I go about it?

You can create Simplified Sub forum in Simplified Forum but you cannot create QA sub forum in Simplified Forum, in wpForo you first create a Category and set its layout then create a forum in it(can be more than one), and you can create sub forums as well but all of them will be simplified layout, as the Category is set Simplified. To use another Layout, you have to create another Category.
@chris Thanks. Can I ask why this is? Can it be a feature request? Perhaps I am missing something as to why it would be a bad idea to do this.
That's the default Forum hierarchy, and that's how wpForo works, I'm sorry but we cannot change/customize wpForo Forum hierarchy.
