Strangely the issue went away after I logged out and logged back in.
Is there a premium version I can buy to get support?

As far as i understand the problem is fixed. Do you still have this issue?
Have yo deleted wpForo cache in Dashboard > Forums > Dashboard admin page and all other caches?

You can start by enabling Wordpress debug and check the log for errors (in general).
