My forum showed as empty after I added one topic.
I thought I was suffering from the same problem after posting, turned out the topics were simply in the waiting line for moderation, that's why they did not appear in the number of topics.
After they were approved, the forum counted them in, so no issue here, but a fear of bug initially.
Just sharing here my 2 cents for further use.
Hi @kitatech,
Navigate to Dashboard > wpForo > Usergroups edit the Usergroup of the user which could publish topic/post without approval and check "Can - Pass Moderation" option.
Also navigate to Dashboard > wpForo > Settings > Spam Control and See the Below Options:
- User is New (under hard spam control) during first [X] posts
