Since upgrading to wpForo 1.4.6 my extended posts layouts are showing oldest first.
Under settings I have Extended Layout - Number of Recent posts, set to 5. This is supposed to show the most recent 5 posts. However the topic posts displayed are showing in reverse order since the 1.4.6 update, oldest first! Whereas under 1.4.5 it definitely used to show latest 5 first.

Please try to delete wpForo cache in Dashboard > Forums > Dashboard admin page. use the [Delete all caches] button.

We use the same wpForo 1.4.6 here and we don't see such problem. Do you have copy of wpForo template files in your WordPress theme? Please check in WP active theme folder. If you have /wpforo/ folder with wpForo template file, backup those and delete this dir.

These have no relation for sure. The Activity issue is definitely a bug, we're currently fixing that. but the issue you're reporting is a site specific problem.
