Please note, wpForo doesn't support membership levels and custom User roles made by membership plugins. i'm really sorry but you can't use them to control access in forum. In future we'll synchronize wpForo Usergroup with membership plugin roles.

At the moment you should use wpForo usergroup and Forum accesses to control accesses. You should create custom Usergroup and attach users to these usergroups manually.

I already consulted the docs while building the forums, this feature is the only one I need to implement to make the registration fully automatic and had hoped to solve before the site can go live.

Any idea in "which" future this feature might be added?

Adding members manually require a hell of labor hours (not only for me and my team but other forum users too) that would be nice to spend on other more productive things!

We're planing to synchronize wpForo usergroups with custom WP roles. This will allow automatically control wpForo content based on User WP role (which is the base of membership plugin access levels). This is planned next month.

@robert, I sure hope this will be sooner than later!

To add new members I need to go to >Users and add them to the forum user group BUT!, I need to deactivate and reactivate the forum to have members added to the >Forums >Members. If I do not, they won't have any forum access.

Really not the way to do things and it took me hours to figure out why members were not added to the forum!
