I'll see if I can figure out a test install...
So can I ask questions here? Will it be possible to assign different AI features to different user groups?
So for example, search is available to all, but chat is only available to say mods or contributors?
Hi @marsm,
Good question. Currently there is no any setting that allows to manage AI Feature by usergroups. All features are available for guests but you can control the maximum number of usage per day for guests and for loggedin users:
All AI features that have front-end actions are available for guests excerpt the AI ChatBot. Currently it's only available for logged-in users, because it's based on conversations and the conversations are stored for users. Guests have no any data in database so the conversations cannot be stored for them.
And yes, we do have to-do for adding usergroups specific control for AI features, but it's not planned for the first stable version.
In case you want to say thank you !)
We'd really appreciate and be thankful if you leave a good review on plugin page. This is the best way to say thank you to this project and support team.

I think this will be key, speaking purely from my own perspective. I'll need to monetise my forums through subscriptions to pay wpforo's monthly subs... So if this feature is available I'll probably opt for the $50/month and offer the AI capabilities to premium members.
Ok, nice. I've marked this feature as high priority.

Hi @marsm,
The usergroups based AI feature control has been added in wpForo 3.0.0.9 beta aversion:

@Robert that is amazing! Unfortunately, my plans to set up a test site have been derailed due to a death in the family.
Nevertheless, I will be subscribing to the Professional subscription when it launches as a result of this feature!
@Robert just looking at the screenshot, does that mean I will now be able to, for example, make semantic search available to all and summarisation for premium members?
Will it also be able to set "usage" by user group? So I have a premium group they get more 'credits' to do stuff versus free users?

Hi @marsm ,
We're truly sorry for your loss. Take all the time you need, family always comes first.
To answer your question - yes, you can enable or disable all front-end AI features by user groups. The AI Logs in the backend will show you AI feature usage. Each log entry includes all the details about the feature that was used, as well as the user who used it.
