Is there a way to edit/add domains to a list of domains that you refuse to accept new members from signing up?

I have Akismet enabled but I keep getting new members signing up from Yandex.com.    I'd like to block users from yandex.com  from signing up to begin with.  I'd also like to keep anybody signing up from xyz.com  and also from the top level domain .ru

Everything from any of those domains appears to be spam/bots and I'd rather not deal with it.

Is there any way for me to do this?

Thanks!

While this is a Wordpress issue, since Wordpress core handles all that, here is what can help you in this:

@traces-of-texas,

Please navigate to Dashboard > Forums > Tools > Antispam tab, configure and enable the Google reCAPTCHA. This will stop 99% spam registrations.

Oh, yes ... I already have re-captcha set up and configured. I should have mentioned that. I still have spammers getting through.  Is there a way to establish/edit a list of domains that I absolutely won't accept registration from?

Thanks!

EDIT: Okay ... I see that Ban Hammer might be the way to go. Thank you, Anonymous20.

@traces-of-texas,

Have you enabled the reCAPTCHA for both the wpForo and WordPress registration forms?

There are many other plugins you can use to. but after installing any plugin please check if the registration form is not damaged and register some test user with a real email to make sure it works fine: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/spam+registration/
