Hello,

I am experiencing an issue with the confirmation email sent to new users. Even though the "Overwrite WordPress New User Registration Email for Users" option is enabled (set to "Yes"), the default WordPress email for password reset is still being sent.

The content of the email includes a link like this:

 https://mondomaine.be/wp-login.php?login=name%20retest&key=oQTkYZUzKgZpa07JxjA6&action=rp

However, it should be the customized email I configured, with a link redirecting to /change-password/....

All other customized emails related to forum notifications (such as confirmation for topic follow-up, member mentions, etc.) are working correctly. The issue only occurs for the password reset email sent after registration.

How can I resolve this so that the customized email is sent correctly for this action?

Hello,

I noticed I’m not the only one encountering this issue, as discussed here:
https://wpforo.com/community/how-to-and-troubleshooting-2/set-password-email/

I will attach three screenshots for clarification:

The first screenshot shows the email currently being sent:
https://e.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZYpExZ8TD1oMcqu6V0JnLHBOJRIfAfK8QX

The second screenshot shows the email that should be sent:
https://e.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZ1pExZLM5RGkpmHVRLL9cRgvNjkYDF4VxV

The third screenshot displays the current settings (mostly in French):
https://e.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZwpExZGmaA4iYnGdyzDUTN2ADHs0cL4s2y

I hope these visuals help to better understand the issue.

Thank you for your assistance!

@scoufy

First, please deactivate all plugins except for wpForo, clear all caches, and test the issue again. Let us know the results.

Additionally, please provide a screenshot of the "Reset Password Emails" section located in Dashboard > wpForo > Settings > Email Settings tab.

@scoufy

We don't find such an issue on our test websites. Could you please send the admin login details to info[at]gvectors.com email address? I'll ask the developers to check the issue for you.

@sofy : It was disabled in principle, it's a double confirmation for admins. Now it should be ok.

Hello, dear community. I have exactly the same problem. The issue occurs when I update my WordPress version from 6.6.2 to the new version 6.7.1. That's when the problem starts. I have been working on fixing it for three days now, trying various solutions without success. I have disabled or uninstalled all plugins, cleared the cache... but nothing has worked. I'm really desperate.

It seems to be related to Wpforo. For now, I have downgraded to the old WordPress version because everything works fine in that version, but that's not a solution either. It seems several users are experiencing the same problem, as I've just seen. I hope a solution is found as soon as possible. @sofy

No solution, I'm waiting for the support team to look at it, they had a security problem to connect, I'm waiting for them to look at it...

Fortunately this does not prevent registration (in my case).

@scoufy Okay, because as far as I know, the problem has existed for several weeks. It must be a bug in wpForo. For me, it prevents registration. I hope the team finds the problem as quickly as possible. Strangely, only a few users are affected and not all, otherwise there would be more reports here. Let's wait for the feedback.

Hi,

This issue will be resolved in the next update.

The developers have also fixed the issue on your website. Once the new version is ready, you can update the plugin without any concerns.
