The priority is given to modern look (UI / UX), features and performance. Also we're working on new ideas to increase forum engagement. The engagement of visitors is the most important thing for your forum. Our team is currently investigating and analyzing many methods and UX solution to increase forum visitors engagement. So the future of wpForo is super light. We're focused on growing your communities not just developing a discussion board.

If I can tip. I found out from members that they missed the warning (notice) about new messages, similar to facebook.
wp-Foro has been such an awesome tool for us! I use it for two completely different websites/teams and it is really the best tool we've used overall.

I KNOW that having a live, on-screen notification of all new posts would be a HUGE step toward increasing engagement. We're used to that feature from our Slack teams, and it's something I sincerely hope is coming (soon) to wp-Foro.
