That exactly what I was thinking mate..... Are they going to call it a day if this doesn't work? Is the plug in and its add ons not profitable?

hmmmm. site is running slow right now, and I remember they moved to a cheap server recently... plus the hack.....6 days and no post from admin.....Do we need to start looking for other types of forum software we can migrate to?

I was wondering why questions never get answered.

I'm happy to pay a little more each year to get answers to questions. wpForo is so much better than bbPress that I want it to continue to thrive as an alternative forum platform.

I've been engaging with the team for paid customizations, and they seem quite responsive there.

Ok thanks, so that means people are not Missing In Action or anything like that, which is good news.

 

It also means, though, that bug queries here are not being attended to. What's going on?

They (gvectors) have explained in some post that the Covid period has been a dissaster for them. So apparently they have some needs and they try to cover them.

For me, i will cut them some slack and see how it goes. Keep in mind that updates keep comming, and that is very important.

@dimalifragis it's not about cutting anyone slack IMO.

It's about communication to your community.

 

There's nothing wrong to say something like "guys we're understaffed ATM" or "we are having such and such issues".

 

To leave a community without even knowing what's going on is worse.

@fawp yeap, some communication would be great. But i believe gvectors is not a big company and they try to their best.

If you participate in other Wordpres plugins, ones that have over 1mil installations, you will see what poor support is given.

It is true that 3-4 years back, the support here was much much better. Still wpForo is years ahead from other forum plugins and i think we must wait a bit....

That is my personal opinion, it maybe be wrong, still i.m just trying to help all i can.

I'm willing to cut them some slack, but would be good to have some progress on questions and bugs.

You do a great job mate and I always see you here answering questions and helping out. They should make you a moderator and give you free plugin access IMO for the work you do here.

No, thank you, i'm moderating several Greek forums for years, i can't do any more.

It's clear that there is no dedicated forum only moderators on here. The guys who are designated as admins/mods on here are more about customer support and that's fine. But you definitely need a dedicated forum moderator to takes out the trash but does NOT deal with customer support.
