A lot of users want to adopt notification feature, and I'm too.
However, I think if Wpforo integrates with Buddypress tab and Buddypress notification, it would be great!
A lot of people want to sitewide profile system, not forum site only.
Therefore, I hope if it integrates with Buddypress and Buddypress notification, newcomer will be much more increasing.

There is no any difference in Forum profile or Site profile. Each of those can be site-wide profile. Each of these have user fields and extended options for registration, login and account managing.

Like this Buddypress notification when new reply has been added on my post.
We also work on wpForo Notification feature, we can't leave this function on other plugins. wpForo is a large project and it should have own notification system. Once we released wpForo Notification we'll start with other plugin integration.
If users can't get any notification about blog activity and their replies on their own posts as well as forum topics, it would be underutilized.
Please make a plugin sitewide, not only for forums.
It would be good if it integrates with Wpdiscuz and Buddypress.
