@sofy This is old, I understand, but the user was never really answered as the reply you gave has no bearing on his issue.

Is there a way to allow Buddypress groups to have their own private forum?

There is no why to create private forums on BuddyPress using wpForo. Private forums can be created in wpForo forums not in BuddyPress. As an alternative, wpForo allows creating private conversations with many users if you use the wpForo PM addon: https://gvectors.com/product/wpforo-private-messages/

@robert Thank you, but apples and oranges. Groups provide far more than just forums. It would just be nice to not have to use 2 different forums on one site whilst using buddypress/buddyboss groups.
