When a user gets an email notification about a new comment, clicking the link takes them to the FIRST screen of the forum Topic. If that topic has 8 pages of discussion, then they are 7 pages away from the item they received a notification about. This is a huge disincentive to engage further. It kills discussions.
Please make email notifications deep-link the user directly to the item that triggered the notification.
