You can do this by making edits in your wpforo database manually as outlined by Robert at https://wpforo.com/community/how-to-and-troubleshooting-2/moving-posts-to-another-topic/#post-9669 .

This workaround process is tedious.

I too am awaiting a better wpforo admin UI interface feature to do for this important functionality to prevent thread duplication or off-topic discussion.

I'm sorry but this has been excluded from next release to-do list. The next update comes with huge number of changes and new features. We're planning to release it within next two weeks.
