I'm sorry but we don't have exact recommendations. You should install and test some popular solutions with wpForo. First you should unserstand how wpForo usergroups get access to forums. Then you should know that wpForo usergroups are synched with WordPress user roles. If the membership plugin is based on user roles then it'll work for wpForo, because it'll change user role and the wpForo usergroups will be automatically changed as well.
