I have added this forum to my travel site. I'm a bit puzzled on what to offer, normal forums or also some Q and A sub forums ?
I'm afraid that the Q/A will distract people ?
What you (the community) think ?
Is it a good idea to mix the two options of forum plugin ? Maybe from your own experience ?

Previously I have used phpBB3 with classic layout, but when I installed wpForo I switch all forums to Q&A layout. It is more useful for my content and users. I would like that people vote for answers and I hope that wpForo developers add possibility for sorting and ranking answers in this layout. Q&A layout is pretty fine when you want to highlight important info (answers). That works for me, but for other people other layouts maybe more useful.
I am adherer of one layout for all forums. I think that different layouts on one forum confuse people.

So what you actually say is to stick with ONE layout, either all forum or all q&a layout ?
Yes, I recommend to use one layout for all forums. The type of layout depends of your requirements.
What happens if you decide to switch layouts after a while, after having posts or Q & A s ?
I will not change my layout. Q&A is perfect for me, but I hope wpForo gives you a simple possibility to change layout without any discomfort.
