1/ is it true that there is no setting to reverse the order of the forum posts (by member level preference)?
2/ members report and i also find difficulty logging onto v3x via iphone. does wpforo conflict that much with wordpress and iphones? best workaround or fix?

Regarding your questions:
1. Post order
There is no built-in setting for this, but you can change the post order using the wpforo_post_list_args hook.
For example, the following code can be used to display the newest replies first while keeping the topic's first post at the top:

$args['orderby'] = '`is_first_post` DESC, `created` DESC, `postid` DESC';

2. Login issues on iPhone
wpForo does not handle the WordPress login and registration system. The login/registration functionality comes from WordPress itself, so wpForo does not have a separate login system that could conflict with iPhones.
If members are having difficulty logging in specifically on iPhones, the issue would need to be investigated on the WordPress/site side rather than being considered a wpForo login conflict.
