my site is intended to receive discussions with users from several countries; for that, I use with wpForo, GT tranlate which translates from French to other languages. That suits me well, except in one case: if an English person puts a comment on the site, another French user will not have the translation in French ... the translation is therefore not reciprocal
how can I do ?

The forum content cannot be translated, only the User interface components are translated. wpForo is a forum plugin, it doesn't have Google Translate API to translate your topics and posts. But it'll automatically translate the buttons and other user interface phrases based on current language.

With Gt tranlate, the content of a post in French can be translated for an English user; I just did the test.
On the other hand, a French user cannot have the translation, in French of an English post (for example)

If they can translate texts then you should contact to the Gt translate plugin developers and ask them to make it compatible with wpForo too. wpForo is not based on custom post types, so they should add an extra feature to their plugin to make it compatible.

Forum softwares are designed for forums. The content translators are different solutions. There is no any forum software that has built-in content translation, this is out of all forum feature packs.
