I was wondering if there are plans in the future to have a stand alone search bar other than the widget or the one embedded in the menu bar ... that would stretch across the top of the main forum 😎Â

Similar to the widget search bar but where you could place it above the main forum. Then, it would show first when viewed on a mobile.
Search feature is too weak. It's too hard to see.
I hope forum's search feature become strong and clear to see.
In addition, I agree with the OP's opinion that it needs standalone search bar instead of being embedded in the menu bar.

Sure, the search feature will be improved soon. We'll create a built-in topic and post indexing system to make search smarter and faster. I have no ETA yet, but it'll be added in near future releases.
