Is there a way to add say a length of time membership level to a membership so that when it expires it restricts access and members must renew

Hi dougflinders,

this is a large feature, you're asking for forum membership system. I'm sorry but current version doesn't support this. We may consider to create a forum Membership addon. Also we're planning to integrate wpForo with popular membership plugins. But it'll not be available in near releases.

I can recommend what i use myself the plugin is s2Member works good.
