wpForo 1.x.x [Solved] Last Post info on forum home broken

This bug has existed for quite some time - when a topic is moved from a simplified layout forum the forum home index will show only a topic with more than one post in it as the latest content. With 1.6.2 the problem is even more acute in that even a newly minted single post topic is not shown as the latest content on forum home.

Can confirm this, too. Only topics with replies are shown as “latest” on the forum front page

I understand if there's no answer at this time, but is there any thought on when this bug might be fixed? I am looking to transfer a large forum to wpForo in the next month or so, but this bug is making me wonder if I should postpone. Thanks.
