We just started having an issue where a user posts or replies on the forum and we see the working icon, but the post does not refresh.  Instead the user has to refresh the page to see the successful post.  If a user deletes a post it refreshes correctly to remove the post and shows the successful icon.

We have deactivated all plugins, tested the server, tested the database and still getting the issue.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Chris-

Thank you for a fast reply!  We are still having a lot of comments from users who say they cannot post due to it timing out.  On my iPhone it just has the spinning working wheel till that stops but page does not reload.  Upon refresh of the page it then says successful and shows correctly.

Could you perhaps try to reply to your own message and see if you experience the issue.  I have tried from several different computers and iPhone and all are experiencing the issue.

Thank you again,

Dave

Check the video link: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/c3jUi1VTBDa

I just waited until the post would be published after pressing the reply button.

@chris

Thank you for the screen cast. That is what we are seeing as well.  I had to up the timeout time or else it was just stalling out.  Even so it was close to 30 seconds for that post and causing people to hit the reply button multiple times now.  The delete function is instant for the refresh.  We were going to try and revert the website to a previous date from a few weeks ago but looks like the database was not saved correctly.

Is there anything that you can think of that may help resolve this bug? So far I have tried to delete all plugins, revert to older version of wpforo, increase hosting ram, and upgrade to php 7.4.

Thank you again!

Dave
