[#6146]

hope this is yhe tight place. There is a similar forum on wordpress.org.

I looked at the help file after setting up my forum. I wanted to be able to approve users.

Then I read Foro uses WP registration, but as I have never registered users, I searched. It seems there is no way to do that.

So I found this plugin:

http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-moderate-new-user-registrations-in-wordpress/

Is this the best way? I don’t want unknown people to register for the forum, which is why I do not advertise the address on the site itself but via a separate mailing list.

Thank you.

@paularenson you can also use TML (Theme My Login) for the same purpose.

Thank you. Glad to hear that as the other plugin says it has not been tested with the latest Wordpress.

I'm sorry but we're not familiar with this plugin. You should test it with wpForo and make sure it works fine.
