I feel as if I've wasted an entire day with this plugin - sorry to say 🙁 I have everything so perfect and I just wanted to add a test topic and I cannot. The button is there but nothing happens on click. I have read the COUNTLESS Google pages on this issue with WP Foro (Why is it still an issue?) and nothing I read helps me -including turning it on as your home page.

If you can help, wonderful but please don't expect me to understand codes, etc. I can always find another app. 😩

Hi @dawn-marie,

Please navigate to the Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Forum Accesses admin page, edit the admin usergroup and make sure the "Can create topic" is enabled. Screenshot below:

If the issue still exists you should click on the "Add topic" button, then do right click and go to the  Inspect Element or simply press F12 on the browser. Then go to the Console tab and if there are JS errors leave the screenshot here with errors.

@dawn-marie,

The developers just checked on your website and see that the issue comes with the active theme you use. You have lots of JS errors that come with your theme. That errors break all js on your website.

We highly recommend you to contact with theme developers and asked them to fix it. Another case none of your plugins will work included wpForo.

Yes, it's an older theme though just updated. I will try to contact. Perhaps just use another theme?
Thank you for everything!

-I've emailed. Also, please so accept my apology for my first message. I was frustrated and it turns out I should be at the theme dev who does not respond!
