I have tried changing my forum, topic and post font sizes under settings -> styles and after updating the options the changes do not take effect.
I have cleared cache on both my end and server side and have also performed Ctrl F5 twice on the front end and cleared browsing history.
I have tried this several times but still the font size remains too small and will not change.
Any thoughts?

Maybe you use some minify/optimizer plugins? Please try to deactivate all caching/optimizing/minifying/compressing plugins, delete all caches and test it again.

It has always worked fine until recently and haven't added any other plugins.
Have tried deactivating these types of plugins and clearing caches but still doesn't seem to work.
