I installed version 1.1.1 on my site and I cant change the language.
Yes, I've read the documentation and other forum posts and threads on that but couldn't get a solution.
I took the files from another post that should be included in 1.0.2 already.
I can see PO & MO files in the described folder. I've changed the generic site language already to German.
But withing Forum > Settings I can't change to German, only English is available.

Please forget about the option in Forum > Settings page, this is not for changing forum language, please read the description below that option. What is your WordPress language, which Deutsch? Please show a screenshot of the Dashboard > Settings > general admin page with language dropdown.
This is the language chosen in the general settings.
Are you sure it has not translated? This does Wordpress automaticaly, wpForo has nothing to do here. Please make sure you have wpforo-de_DE.mo and wpforo-de_DE.po in wp-content/plugins/wpforo/wpf-languages/ directory.
Try to change language to English then change it back to Deutsch. Then delete cache.
Also if you don't have important data yet, I'd recommend Uninstall (not deactivate), then delete and install it again.

well I think I am starting to understand the system 😉
Well it is translated half-half...it means a lot of phrases are translated, some are not.
As German does not show up in the translations menu where I can translate phrases online I thought the language is not active...
